Mit unserer großen Erfahrung haben wir beschlossen, uns auf eine neue und innovative Lösung zuzubewegen, die das Verhalten des Fahrrads in den Mittelpunkt der Spezifikationen stellt. Ein Verhalten, bei dem der Begriff des Gewichts relativ ist, bei dem die Lenkung leicht ist, bei dem das Fahrrad spielerisch, lebendig und reaktionsschnell ist.
Um dies zu erreichen, haben wir alle unsere technischen Entscheidungen auf eine Neuausrichtung und maximale Absenkung der Massen ausgerichtet. Die technische Herausforderung war beträchtlich, es war notwendig, die Art und Weise der Konstruktion eines E-MTBs zu überdenken, anders zu denken: einen Rahmen um die ideale Position der Batterie herum zu bauen.
Anfang 2017 stellte Lapierre diese Idee und dieses revolutionäre Produkt in Form des Overvolt AM Carbon "GLP" vor. Eine unübertroffene Vision von E-MTB. Es war wichtig, sich weiterzuentwickeln, damit es diese einzigartige und zeitgemäße Identität behält. Die Ankunft des neuen Bosch Gen 4-Motors hat es ermöglicht, das GLP-Konzept noch weiter voranzutreiben, das Design zu verfeinern, die Geometrie zu optimieren, das Verhalten des Bikes weiter zu verbessern, um die neue Overvolt AM Carbon GLP-Serie zu schaffen. Unsere Gewissheiten, unsere Überzeugungen sind zu Obsessionen geworden und haben alle unsere Entwicklungen danach genährt: ob beim e-MTB, aber auch beim Mountainbiken.

An unmatched vision of E-MTB. It was important to evolve, so that the GLP2 keeps this unique and contemporary identity. The arrival of the new Bosch Gen4 engine has allowed the GLP concept to be pushed even further, to refine its design, to optimize the geometry, and to further improve the behavior of the bike. We have been working on mass centralization from the start, but the improvements we have made prove that it is much more beneficial to work on mass distribution / centralization than just trying to gain weight. With the arrival of the Bosch Gen 4, we were therefore able to completely rethink our e-MTB while causing the bike to lose almost 2 kg! The first adjustment was on the frame. It’s entirely made of carbon, which made it possible to rework the nature and quality of the fibers with the consequence of a reduction in its weight (approximately 300 g) without compromising the rigidity and the overall reliability.
