Enduro World Series 2021 | Tweed Valley

The 2021 season of the Enduro World Series drew to a close in the Tweed Valley, Scotland. The combined elements of Scottish tracks and weather didn’t disappoint, providing competition full of drama and emotion.

EWS-E: Double podium for the team Lapierre Overvolt

For the final race of the EWS-E, the racers had to face a total of 14 timed stages over a distance 57km.

The wet and slippery terrain didn’t fluster Nicolas Vouilloz, who assured his third consecutive victory. As winner of all three rounds, Nicolas Vouilloz adds the title of series winner of the EWS-E to his already burgeoning palmarès. Kevin Marry took both second place in Scotland and 2nd overall in the series, with teammate Antoine Rogge finishing 5th overall.

The Team Lapierre Overvolt has written itself into the history books by taking the Overvolt GLP2 to each step of the podium throughout the season.

EWS: podium for Adrien Dailly and third overall for Isabeau Courdurier

Six short and physical stages, subjugated by the muddy and slippery conditions were on the menu to separate the riders and promote the Enduro World Series champion.

After fighting all season long, Isabeau gave everything she had in the final event to claim 5th place and therefore conserve 3rd overall in the EWS! An excellent result for the French national champion after the complex season that she has endured.

In the men, Adrien Dailly inaugurated his new Spicy Team CF with its red livery, which seemingly gave him wings as he scorched to 3rd place in Scotland. This result has promoted him to 8th place in the seasons overall standings.

The young Lisandru Bertini finished the season in 14th place, permitting him to imagine a bright future.

The team Lapierre Zipp Collective were only missing 200 points to claim third place in the team classification. They finished 4th overall in this category.

This season the Enduro World Series was short yet intense. The riders are now due some merited rest and recuperation before laying the foundations for next year.
