Lapierre takes Tokyo's colours on

On the way to Tokyo

2021 is a symbolic year for Lapierre. Not only is it the brand's 75th anniversary year, but it's also a year focused exceptionally on the Olympic Games. The world's most watched event is also the most prestigious for all athletes, as all competitors represent their nation to win the most important medal of their career. So we thought it appropriate to celebrate this event by equipping our athletes with frames named Sakura, in reference to the famous Japanese cherry tree and to Japanese culture.

State-of-the-art equipment

Whatever the discipline in which Lapierre bicycles are represented - road cycling, time trial or triathlon -, athletes will benefit from the best technical equipment currently on the market to perform and attempt to bring back a gold, silver or bronze medal.

Lapierre is a brand focused on performance and excellence, already present at the highest world level in cycling, and recently in triathlon. The Olympic Games are the quintessence of global sport and this year, in 2021, we have high hopes that athletes riding Lapierre bicycles will bring back the first Olympic medals with our bikes.

To maximise their chances of wining a medal, each athlete will have an optimised frame to meet the demands of the discipline. There will be three models at the Games: Aerostorm, Xelius and Aircode.

Aerostorm will be used in time trials, Aircode in triathlon events and, lastly, Xelius will be the perfect weapon to tackle the hilly and demanding road races.
