Marta Cavalli, winner of the Amstel Gold race 2022
The eighth edition of the Amstel Golden Race disputed between Maastricht and Valkenburg (Netherlands), has had the Italian as the winner Martha Cavalli, from the FDJ team.
The 128 kilometres were punctuated by numerous attacks, all of them taken by the peloton, but Marta's final attack was the right one. After having broken away from the leading group at the top of the Cauberg, she rode alone in the lead during the last 1,8 kilometres, and finally took one of the most beautiful international victories of the team!
