June Recap our Lapierre Athletes

June has been a pleasant month for our Lapierre athletes, a recap of all the races.

Recap

We start our recap of June with Lukas Rathgeber. Our long distance pro took part in the highest triathlon in the world. In Nepal in the Himalaya mountains one of the hardest challenges for Lukas was on the agenda. The omens were very bad, his health condition did not allow a brilliant performance. After a very strong road bike discipline, in which he set the second best riding time, he was forced to give up.

The Austrian triathlete Lisa Perterer also had to change her training a bit in June due to injury. But this change was quite successful: due to a foot injury she had concentrated on bike training and took part in the cycling state championships in Austria. She immediately came in second in a field full of female racing cyclists. On the first weekend of July, however, she will compete in her first triathlon after a break due to injury.

Lisandru Bertini, the 18 year old rider for Lapierre Zipp Collective, won the EDR twice in a row in June. In Leogang as well as in Canazei he was the fastest U21 rider.

But the star in June was Isabeau Courdurier! On the first weekend of June, she starts the season directly with a good third place in Italy. And after that two demonstrations of her strength follow. In Leogang and in Val di Fassa no one can beat her time and so she crowns herself the winner of each of these stages. With these great results Isa greets also at the beginning of July from the top of the overall classification.

Stay tuned for news from the races in July!
